Oh, how 'I've been dreaming about some plastic surgery -- the finishing touches to my future transformation. I used to think a Tummy Tuck would be my first, but then I heard about a circumferential lower body lift. This lifts your tummy, the lower back/hip area, and your mons area (that's the fleshy part of the vajay-jay). Now this would make a dramatic difference on how pants fit!

I'd also like a brachioplasty to get rid of my arm wings, but it won't be first. I'll just wear sleeves a little longer. Same deal with the boobs. At least you can wear a heavy duty bra to keep the sagging girls hoisted up. Maybe I'll marry into money and can also get a boob lift one of these days.

Tiffykins asked if anyones bodyshape had changed, and yes, mine did... I found out i have a waist! :lol0: More of an hour glass shape now, but won't tuck in my shirts 'cause of my belly...

I've been researching about plastics.... sighhhhhhh........ all about the $$$$ and I don't have a green thumb so the money tree I planted died....

But I have heard that some plastic surgens do "package" deals... gotta research, and have been saving for it...

Tummy tuck and legs still first on the list... I was a bit surprised by the legs... didn't think I would lose that much to make them do what they are doing:scared0:

My mother recently had a TT done and on one of her last follow-up visits she mentioned to her PS that my husband and I had just had VSG. He said that when we are ready for surgery to come see him b/c one of the hospitals he works with is a teaching hospital and our surgeries could be done by PS's in training with supervision at a lower fee. Mom had students do rounds on her before and after surgery but they didn't do the surgery. I so want a TT!!! It will be something worth looking into!

Also, I had a breast reduction back in 2003 and insurance paid with no problems. I didn't need additional documentation that I had had rashes or anything like that, but it also could have been in the way that my doctor worded his letter to our insurance company.

If you also get rashes periodically under "the girls" that may help substantiate a case for insurance coverage to perk them up.

Pannus is the apron or abdominal fat that hangs down over the pubic/thigh area.

That will be the first thing I will have done after I lose the weight. My mom had to have it done and a breast lift. It runs in our family and it is not even an obesity thing just issue if you have kids. Mine is the worst. I will have the breast lift and pannus done together.

That is what I am thinking, too - and don't know if I will wait the 1 year after reaching goal as I have been overweight for so long, that I doubt the memory in my skin is even there any longer. Plus I had 2 kids and nursed them both.

My first response to this was of course getting the "girls" lifted... but I'm amazed at how much I have lost there, which is ok by me... I've gone from a 54-56 D to now a 40 C( could be a B cup but the way I have lost weight... they do better in a B cup )

I just went and tanned today... and OMG... my legs....... they are awful!! I NEVER dreamed I would have skinny legs, but they are!! but I also didn't realize how BIG they were so the skin is sagging sooo bad... A total lower body lift is what I want...

Then I start to think...... am I too old to even bother??

Legs looks ok in pants, but the belly has that "butt front" look... anyone know what I'm talking about>>>>???

VA- I nursed both my kids tooo.... they never even knew what a bottle was. But i would take the belly/leg lift over the boobs in a heart beat!

I've heard that if you do it too soon, there may still be some sagging that happens afterwards and then you want to have it done again. I'd wait until everything really stabilizes if I was doing it.

He always says the nicest things - he is probably my biggest supporter in this journey - and I hope I am the same for him ... he's getting hotter and hotter by the day ... this was the best thing both of us could have done!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
