I just did the psych eval, next step is nutritionist but soonest appt. is a month away. Is this normal? I can foresee things leading to surgery getting done too close to the holidays, and I don't want to go through the roughest part of this thing during the holidays. How long between steps did some of you experience?

holidays will come even after wls surgery

dont get hung up on (the holidays, eating etc)

its a process..a journey...and you will have to deal with it

regardless..how you handle it, mentally, will be the deciding factor

keep my fingers crossed that its soon for you :)

Hi Vince, I too am looking at a surgery date of 1st week in December if all goes planned with insurance. I went back and forth since I know (As a busy mom of 3) that this is a crazy time of the year with alot of trigger foods. My motto is however, there is NO time like the present. If its not the holidays, it's Valentines, Halloween etc. candy snd sweets are always around. I can no longer make excuses...it's time for me to get off this roller coaster weight gain/loss journey. I'm done...and ready for the new me to be revealed!!!

If you end up being banded in December would love to create a support team of 'Team Holiday' Bandsters!!! We can do this!!!!!

I started the first of July and will be banded tomorrow. I thought I would get mine after the holidays but when things fell into place so timely and I was approved on one week I figured I should get this journey started now!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
