Am I the only one?

Recommended Posts

I was banded on Aug 6th and have done well with my weight loss (23 lb) and have not needed a fill..yet. I have noticed over the last week I am drinking more Water but I am also hungrier than I was before. I am eating 1/2 cup per meal and feel full. I eat 3 times a day and eat high Protein, low carb. I do not drink with meals and wait 30-60 min after eating to drink fluids. Is the water causing my food to slide through faster? Do I need a fill? Or is it a combination of both? What to do, what to do..

What does your Dr. suggest? My Dr. had/has a set treatment plan in mind as to what I should expect and how he was to get me there....he would ask me specific questions about my level of hunger, cravings, my food choices etc, then determine what my next step would be, if any was indicated.....

You'll notice from reading enough posts here that no 2 persons are the same, as is their Dr.'s....

I think it seems like you might need a fill. It took like 5-6 fills for me to feel restriction.

My guess is you may need a fill. You should only need to wait 30 mins after a meal to drink. After all the body need Water as much as it needs food. As you loose weight and fat around the band it happens. Talk to your doctor.

Got my fill of 2 cc today and I can tell. Dr thinks that I have lost so much weight in abdomen that the fat around the band shrunk causing me to need a fill. Fill was easy and hardly and discomfort. Thanks for everyone's input.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
