You are right. Why someone can't ask a question and answer comments without drama is beyond me. But there is one person on here who no matter what the post is.... She starts crap with someone.

Had barium swallow (yum yum yum)

Everything is fine. He thinks its coffee and eggs my stomach can't tolerate.

I'm not even going to mention our discussion on "fill volume of band"

I hate to admit it, but I have noticed this too in regards to the one person. smh

i had some of the same problems. i had to be rush back to the hospital the same day i had surgery. The ER doctor remove the primer and told me to take phazyme sofe gel and not gas x. He does not recommend gas x for the lap band surgery...i did just what the ER doctor said and all the pain went away

Yes I am having major regrets of being banded. I am out 3 weeks. Have been on soft foods for a week and now am having terrible pain issues. After I eat it feels like a pipe going thru my chest. Called dr, did liquids 24 hours, progress back to soft and it started again. I am not living the rest of my life on liquids. This may come out faster than it went in.

I'd like to say it gets easier, but it's surgery and the band is a pain in the ass. You may get used to it and you may not. If you want it out then get it out. I'm not going to sugar coat it for you. You gotta do what's right for you.

You are an idiot. Let's see how many 'likes' this post can get. :D

Looks like none so far but thank you for the compliment. :-)

Runt glad your doing better with your band. Don't give up the beginning is a really big adjustment and food intolerance that you may never have had before can be part of it.

For me it was/is Broccoli. I love it, but it no longer loves me. Hurts my belly something awful cramps and bloating and such. So I only eat sparingly if it's mixed in and I don't want to seem too rude picking it out.

The gas and bloating I think is what's kicking my butt! They think that is what they chest/back/shoulder pain is.... Well I'm done with that crap..... It can just go away!

I hear ya! Try heating pad and some Decaf tea. There is something in the tea that really helps move that gas :)

Hot tea...let cool till warm Steer clear of dairy if you can help it that contributes to the bloating and gas. Sometimes early band patients have issues with lactose. I did.

Taking a probiotic helped me, you can also try lactase if you find that you have an issue with dairy.

Hope your feeling better fast!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
