OOOHHH.... There is one HOT Momma out there now!!!!!

Hope your fill goes well Regina. Let us know what they put back in you. I have survived my 1 cc fill last Wednesday (guess I need to update my sig). Think I have figured out that for this to work for me, it is not about eating less, it is about not eating at all. As long as I can swallow my spit, and a Protein Shake, I should be fine. Will step on the scale on Wednesday to see if my theory is right.

Poodles - you are proof positive that the band works diferently for every person. I may not be the smartest person on this planet, but one thing I do know, if you keep your feet moving, you'll eventually end on the right path. YGG!

Had a colonoscopy today. All is well, but man - the new prep is a bit easier on prep day - but lingers much longer. I'm staying close to home with my running shoes on! .

When my Grandmother was about my age, she wore a wig, hearing aid, false teeth and glasses. My Grandfather joked that he didn't know "whether to go to bed with Momma or sit up with all her stuff"!

Momma --you look great!!

Pinkylee --glad to hear the colonoscopy went well. Yes, you better keep those running shoes on for a bit longer.

I can't wait for my fill on Thursday. It can't come soon enough. I feel wide open. I pray I don't have a leak. That would really suck.

Have a great 4th everyone (just saying it early in case I'm not on tomorrow).

Glad everyone is doing well. My fill so far is going good. No major problems and possible problems have been averted. We went for Chinese tonight and I got moo goo gai pan. It was gooey enough to qualify for mushies and I chewed the chicken really well. No problems. One more day of mushies and then solids start. I bought some of those WW meals for lunch. They had some new ones and target had them on sale for $1. I'm going to try that instead of having Soup so much.

Hi everyone! I was banded June 21st and I'm down 9 lbs so far. I'm still on liquids for a few more days and then I get to go to pureed foods. It's been tough watching everyone else while I drink my meal, but I'm not giving up. It's going to seem so weird to finally be losing weight and getting healthy with more energy. I can hardly wait!

Hi Casey! Welcome to the banded world. We've all been at this for over a year but I remember the excitment I felt during those first weeks. Just know it's going to take time and be patient. Take care of your band and it will take care of you. I think it's a great tool to help me get my weight under control and more important, keep it under control.

Good luck and most important don't get discouraged.........it's not an overnight fix!

Ok girls, just a reminder to get an EGD. I did not remember my self, until I got a phone call from my Doctors office. It is recommended at one year mark.

Stepped on the scale this morning, instead of waiting until tomorrow. It has not moved. Bawled my eyes out, because I have only had liquids since last Wednesday. Measured everything, rode my bike, stayed under 1000 calories. I just don't get it.

Really thinking about bypass...

Can you give me any advice on how to quickly get through these gas pains? I was banded Monday, July 2nd and all went very well. I'm just a bit sore on my left side but I think the gas is more difficult than anything. Any advice on what to use for the soreness as well? Thanks in advance..

I'm so sorry that your scale isn't moving Poodles! Have you measured yourself? Maybe you will see something there, if not on the scale. If you decide to go for bypass, we will all be here for you. Your health is the #1 priority! Does your doctor have any insight?

Momma-you look great! You too Beachee, Leece and pinchemayko!

bfy- Be patient! You were just banded yesterday! Try to walk around and sit up as much as possible to help the gas dissapate. Try Gas-X strips. They never worked for me, but many people swear by them. Your doctor should have advised you regarding pain management, but liquid Tylenol is generally a safe choice. Welcome to bandland and hold on for the ride of your life!

Got my fill yesterday, they put me at 1.8, hope I have some restriction. I am starving on liquids though.

Poodles, I am so sorry you are having so many problems. We will support you no matter what you decide to do.

My surgery last friday was done the same way they do the endoscopy and they looked at my band as well. So I guess I am good.

Have a great 4th everyone!!! Poodles if you need to talk you know where I am! Love you all!!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
