Who went home the same day?

Recommended Posts

I spent the night in the hospital. I went home late in the afternoon on the second day. I am glad that I spent the night in the hospital because I was wiped out. I still felt bad on the 1 hour trip home.

I spent the night but I knew in advance I would. The reason is because I have sleep apnea. At the clinic I went to...they keep you overnight if you have sleep apnea. I didn't WANT to stay overnight but had no choice...so I brought my CPAP and stayed the night. Because of that, I was the last surgery scheduled for the day (2:30). Everyone else I know went home the same day.

I had surgery at 7:30 a.m. The anesthesia made me a little nauseous after I woke up so I had to stay two extra hours. Still though, I left the hospital at 4:30 and went home and slept like a baby. This was on Wednesday, had no pain, and was back at work on Monday. It went slick as a whistle!! :-)

I had my surgery at 7:30 a.m. and went home the next day at 10:00 a.m. I believe my surgeon keeps everyone overnight. I personally am all for that. I was wiped out, hurting and all I wanted to do was sleep. Although, they did have me up and walking within 30 minutes of waking up from surgery. I was glad I was kept overnight, because I had problems with my blood pressure during the night. Had I been at home, it would not have been caught and managed, and who knows what might have happened.

I went home the same day. I was at the hospital at 6:00 a.m. and home by 6 that night. I was happy to be in my own bed that night!

I had my surgery last September at my doctor's surgery center at 7:30 am and was on my way home by 10:30 am on the same day. I had no probles what-so-ever (and I was one month shy of turning 57 years old!) Additionally, I have had sleep apnea and have used a C-pap for many, many years but experienced no problems during or after the surgery. I went back to work full-time 5 days after surgery and did great. For me, the whole process was a breeze!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
