So I've been doing excellent and had a breakdown! Someone brought in the best cupcake in the world and I broke ... Yes I ate it. I feel horrible . Needless to say this wont happen again. I'll b in the gym major time tonight! Overtime.. I need to check myself ! Out of my system ...

It's good to have a treat every now and then. Don't beat yourself up over it. This is for life...... and life has cupcakes.

Like Guy said, at least it wasn't a dozen.

It will happen again, and its ok. Just compensate with another meal (skim off 100-150 cals) and it'll have zero effect. You'll have to understand how to live in moderation and how to plan and compensate for it. It's a powerful realization when you learn that you can incorporate junk foods on occasion without it destroying your wl efforts. The key is to not do it all the time.

I agree with AJ and Guy. It's just one cupcake so please don't be so hard on yourself.

The truth is, I personally believe the band is about moderation not deprivation. If I just had one cupcake, I wouldn't feel even a tinge of guilt. I'd just be sure to track the calories so I still stay within my daily allowance.

Hang in there :)

I have been banded over 2 years, have lost 109 lbs & you want to know a secret......every few weeks I have a dessert & glass of fat free milk I am truly in the mood for instead of/as my meal!!! OMG am I going to lapband hell???? I don't keep my band wicked tight & although it means I have lost weight slower then many (I still have about 25lbs to lose) for my personal growth in my relationship with food it is the best way to go.

Congrats on all you are doing to help yourself & your health!!!

Don't set yourself up as "I will never be able to have those things again!" That is a great way to fail. Eat the one cupcake and then figure out your calories, carbs, etc and work it out on the next meal or two. Now, if you find yourself doing this every day, maybe time to take a step back at look at your program. Best of luck.

Okay, five minutes in timeout and don't do it again! Lol. Happens to the best of us and at least it wasn't a dozen!

Amen to that!! If we were all able to stop at ONE cupcake, we probably wouldn't be talking here on LBT :P

I say: once in a while and in moderation..... We still have to enjoy our lives.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
