Need Help Again!!!

Recommended Posts

I got a fill on April 19th, .50cc I have been ok with it till this past weekend. I started vomiting everything I ate. Today, I had coffee, and a shake and threw that up too.

Tonight, I can't keep Water down......I dont feel sick , so I know its not a virus.

Would it, could it, take this long for the fill to kick in? :P

Does anyone else had this trouble?

Thanks,

It no it can take a while for a fill to kick in at times. If you are unable to keep anything down you should get a slight unfill. Especially throwing up Water. You must be really tight. hope you get to felling better soon.

Yeah, I've heard quite a few people say that it took 2 or 3 weeks for a fill to kick in. Call your doctor and get in for a small unfill and you'll feel better in no time. Feel better soon!

I experienced much of the same thing with my last fill 2 weeks ago. After only 4 days, I was way too tight and PB'd 4 times on Water and/or Protein Shakes. I didn't eat for 3 days for fear that I would PB again. I had a slight unfill as soon as they could schedule me and now feel 100% better.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
