I bout a juicer. Surprisingly there is only one small thread a bout lap and juicing.

I am 1 year post op and haven't lost much. I don't really eat the proper foods, so I was thinking about going on a diet like the pre band fast, but then I started hearing about Clean Gut, buy Gwenyth Paltrow and her Dr. If you know who she is then you know that she is super healthy and she drinks a lot of green juices.

Any other banders juice?

How in the world do I get started? <staring at shiny new juicer>

I did juicing for about 6 months prior to deciding to do lap band. It was fairly easy to do but the cost was a bit extreme for me personally. A proper juice would use quite a bit of veggies, so I was going to the Farmer's market and buying in bulk. I did mention this to True Results and the Doctor there said it wouldn't hurt every once in a while, but that the band was most effective with chewed solids. I have no idea though, I hope everything works out for you! It took me a while to find some yummy recipes, I had to look on line because I kept making some and they were terrible! So I say go online and look some up! I just know I used a lot of ginger and a lot of green fruits and veggies. Best Wishes!

I occasionally get a fresh made juice at the health club after a workout,,,,many of my friends have juicers....

My reluctance is that I focus on protein...so I stayed with making my own fresh smoothies, all types of flavors and combinations.......40gm of protein!

if you eat your allotted amount of foods, eat better quality food, and let the band do its job (while you do your part), you wont need to do a diet....just my opinion.

juicing is good, its liquid..goes right on through

eating healthy/lean food is better.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
