And now that you mention inches .. My clothes are fitting me super big I had bought some 16 pants n a dress they fit me good at the store this was last month I was going to wear the dress for church Sunday ... And it was loose

Today my sister brought me some pants size 14 and they fit just right!

That the doctor told me no more fills until I lost weight ... N wants me to lose 10lbs in two weeks

I guess what got me upset is he made me feel like I was not doing good enough ...

But thank you :) I feel better now!

I'm going to increase my walking to 45min instead of 30min see if that helps a lil w/the scale

Protein not so much but I'm doing less then 1200 a day..

So.....you're doing well, yes? Based on what you're saying, one day you're going to get on the scale & see some pounds dropping off. As Carolinagirl said, sometimes it's inches, before seeing movement on the scale.< /p>

I do suggest that you start counting your Protein. It's the key to this whole thing, and if you're not getting in a minimum to 60 grams per day, it's not healthy. Also - if a lot of your 1200 calories is carbs, that can also be an issue.

Have you tried the application MyFitnessPal? It tracks both calories and protein, and is an excellent program. You can use it on your phone, computer, iPad......all of it. Here is a link...

Welldone, I did the same ting. I bought a dress, went to wear it a 2nd time and it was so big I could have put 2 of me into it. I felt a little bad, but Salvation Army sure must have been happy!

Your doctor sounds like an asshat. My inner fat girl just got crazy angry. I hate when people say "well go lose weight". Duh you have to try no matter the surgery, but if we could go lose weight without surgery, we wouldn't be here!!!

Thinking this is a no brainer. Time to find a new doctor.

5.9 CC isn't bad, but it seems like most are over 6 before they hit the green zone and stay there.

Definitely worth getting a second opinion.

Really sounds like the doctor doesn't know what he is doing and is a jerk to boot. Ugh.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
