I find cereal very difficult to eat, actually, which is too bad because I often want the extra Fiber. When I get a yen for it I pour a small bowl or something like raisin bran, and I usually can't finish it.

I LOVE cereal. I'd rather pour a bowl of cereal then eat a candy bar!!! I have so many favorites & it's been one of the hardest things for me to give up!!! I will still eat it for breakfast sometimes, but I just eat it in a VERY small bowl. I chose the healthy stuff, but everyone once in awhile I give in to my kids Peanut Butter Captian Crunch.

I love cereal for breakfast but find it does not keep me satisfied for very long. I've been eating 4 oz of lite ricotta cheese (140 cals) and find the high Protein does the trick in satisfying my hunger.

I tried cereal with a bit of milk two days ago for breakfast and did not do well. I kept burping repeatedly the entire time and so I think I have written that off my list.

I have no problem with it but I too find it doesnt stay with me for long, I'll definitely be hungry mid morning. But I usually eat cereal because I just cant face heavy stuff like eggs in the morning, I have to stick with cardboard.

Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one! I've been banded 3 months and just this week started eating cereal again. I am eating some "heart healthy" mess, I'm eating it dry out of a baggie at my desk at work. I too am hungry mid morning, that's when I drink crystal lite and call it Water.< /p>

I love cereal!!! If I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner I would be happy!! My favorite right now is Frosted Chex and the Cheerios with strawberry yogurt flavor. It goes down pretty well and to me it is very satisfying. :hungry:

I can't eat too much cereal and milk. If I want cereal, I do better with it dry, and I usually am good with a 'serving' of it.

DianeChef- PUT down the Captain Crunch!!

I sometimes will eat Special K with Strawberries and HEB's Mootopia milk (less sugar, fat free and MORE protein).

I used to eat a HUGE bowl (or 2) of fruity pebbles each morning for Breakfast. Glad I can't do that anymore! But I still LOVE my cereal!!

Cereal is my favorite food ever! With so much of us that LOVE cereal I'm starting to wonder if there is a link from cereal and obesity haha.

I love, love, love cereal, but unfortunately, I can NOT lose weight when I eat it. I was too tight after my surgery this past December and after my wreck in February and I started eating Special K with skim milk. Sounds healthy, right? I didn't drop any weight at all!!!! I love it:drool:, but I must stay away from it.:tt1:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
