Hello all! Remember me I was the one who posted a few weeks ago that I thought I failed my LB

Oops I hit send on accident hahah. I was not done.

Well for those who did not know my story I post I was feeling down because I was banded November 14, 2010. Start weight was 330, My surgery weight was 280. I lost about 35lbs shortly after but about 1 year ago I noticed my weight was coming back. I was embarrassed to see friends who knew I did my surgery because I did not follow up. I gained the 35 I lost back. I finally had the courage to see my doctor and when I called she was no longer practicing. So I had to find a new doctor.

After doing some research I found Dr Woody Denhem. Made the appointment and had the courage to go to him to continue me weight loss. On Thursday I went in WEIGHT IS 284 lbs.

dr said he was happy for me to be there and said let's move forward. He checked me and was able to fill me on the spot. 2 days of liquid and back to solids as of today! I feel good so far! The fill was 5cc an he said what that number means nothing. 5cc for me can be 10cc for someone else. It's all on how I feel. I'm excited to be back.

Really glad your back on the "band wagon"!!!

If you have access to a support group I would try and get to group meeting... I find them VERY helpful.

Terrific that you are back, I was banded in September of 07 and it has been qutie the journey. Going back to see the doctor is quite the challenge. Glad you were able to find a doctor and get back on Track.

Hello all! Remember me I was the one who posted a few weeks ago that I thought I failed my LB

SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

I am excited to tread your post because I wan just thinking I want to switch to dr denham (been using another doc who is far away from me and the drive is very difficult) but I wasn't sure if he takes patients from other doctors

Boy am I glad to read this!

You can do this dude! We're all in this together!

Btw does dr denham do his fills under fluoro? Or does he just guesstimate?

Please keep us updated on your progress :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
