lipo on waist and thighs - finishing what I started

Recommended Posts

Thank you! I'm really happy with it!

As for what I needed to do, I actually didn't really need to do anything. I looked up lots and lots of reviews of surgeons in my area and went with someone I thought looked like he had loads of experience. I then went to the consult and he talked me through it, and then I paid for it and waited for my surgery date!

I would say you probably don't have to be at goal to get Lipo, because he reckons he only did 'slight' lipo on me, whereas he usually removes a lot more fat in one go, but he did say that the more fat he removes at one time, the more likely complications will arise and lumpiness can occur, or skin rippling. So to get the best result, being close to goal would be helpful and not having too much loose skin as well. I actually am at the point of not wanting to lose anymore, and even so he warned me about possible looseness in my skin, especially in my inner thighs.

Whqt im afraid of is that i am going to have loose skin when i get to my goal weight. I have been obese ever since an eqrly teenager and being thinner as an adult is so different. I hardly know how to shop anymore.

I was thinking of Lipo but afraid it might be way to expensive. By i am graduating college next month and when i start working i can save up, but i think i might need to use the money formextra skin removal.

You are extremely beautiful. What was your starting weight and your weight right now?

I noticed my boobs are shrinking. When i was 270 i had huge boobs. Now they look deflated. I am thinking about boob augmentation. Everything you are doing i want done. Can i add you please?

Thanks Debpaige!

Sascha, sure feel free to add me! Just to give you a run down, I first had a lower body lift to remove excess skin, then breast augmentation and now Lipo to finish off. These surgeries I did over a 4 year period, not all at once. Mind you, I was 38 when I was banded so while losing the weight was awesome, my body didn't survive it so well, especially my tummy and boobs.

If I were you though I wouldn't worry about excess skin until you get closer to goal - I know plenty of people who have been heavy all their life whose skin bounced back just fine. By all means save the money but you might find you'll need less surgery than me in the end.

Thought this thread was finished up but had my post op appt with my PS today and looked me all over, and while he's VERY happy with how I'm looking in general, he suggested a little bit more work on my inner thighs/knees. He did some Lipo on my upper inner thighs and that looks great, and the skin is 'bouncing back' better than he expected so he thinks if I want a little more off the thighs, he would now be quite confident of an excellent result.

So I'm doing it under local aenesthetic on the 2nd Aug. Guess I'm not quite done yet!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
