I've been avoiding coming on here because I can't seem to get a grip on my diet anymore! I've had two fills since surgery and now I'm at 4.5 cc in a 10cc band. I've had a hard time getting a grip since my birthday last week. I feel hungrier than I was when I had less in my band. I feel like I'm slowly losing control and I'm trying SO hard to hang on to this last strand of motivation and control.

I guess I just needed to vent and put it out there. I hope I'm not alone...because I feel like I am.

Definitely not alone. This might sound a little corny, maybe a lot corny, but when I first had mine done I would go to support groups and one of the women there use to always say "nothing taste as good as skinny feels". After 7 years I still have to remind myself of this occasionally.

Im on 2nd fill too and can relate! I've learned we can confuse thirst for hunger. Sometimes when we are dehydrated a chemical sensation in our belly triggers our mind to think (Hunger). I am having my 3rd fill this week and Im determined to show up with weight loss.

My friend just had her 4th fill and says she is finally feeling restriction. Please don't feel down things will be tough but we have it in us to succeed with this tool!

Go get as many fills as it takes to get to that sweet spot. It took me 2 years and about 12 fills before I got the one that hit the spot. You will get there. And you will know it when it happens. Best Wishes to you. Stay strong and believe.

Thank you everyone for your support! I love the saying "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". My old weight watchers leader told me that and I never forgot it. I'm nervous to get a fill because I get stuck constantly. I have to pay attention o my techniques though. I'm going to wait another week and see if I need a fill or unfill. I just need to understand head hunger a little better I think.

I may just go to a support group. Thank you for giving me your ears earlier!! Xo

You are NOT alone! According to your ticker, you have already lost 43 pounds. That is great!! We all have bad weeks, but don't let it discourage you and don't look back. Tomorrow is a new day pretty lady. You got this. :)

I'm 1 1/2 years out. I too was starving the first 4 months. My 4th fill after 4 months finally got me to where I was feeling satisfied longer. I bitched and moaned too. On this forum! It's called Bandster Hell for a reason.

You are not alone I was in the same boat from my birthday celebration to spring break vacation with the kids I was out of control with my diet I had to just refocus and remember why I started this journey to began with I think just refocusing and small reminders along the way will get us back on track good luck

Don't feel bad - I, too, avoid coming on the site like I used to. It took me nearly 2 years and 7 fills before I got to my "sweet spot". With good restriction, a healthy diet, and regular exercise, I finally started losing consistently and was starting to notice change in the way my body was beginning to look and feel. Things were going great until I was hit with a medical dilemma - an unplanned hysterectomy...as my husband and I were planning to try to get pregnant. I was devastated and became depressed and withdrawn. I stopped working out, wasn't mindful of what I ate, and began gaining the weight I worked so hard to lose. Three weeks ago, after my birthday, I realized what I was doing to myself and decided to get back in gear. I started being mindful of what I eat and drink, and am trying to get myself motivated to work out regularly like I used to. I've lost 8 lbs so far, but am still frustrated. I really want to be at my goal weight by the end of summer (I've got 30 lbs to go).

Jennifer - If you can believe it, you are an inspiration to me! :) We have very similar starting points... and my ultimate goal is the same as you, too! I think it's great that you have already lost 43 pounds and you have just had 2 fills. I know it seems like our goal is very far off, but every single pound will get us there.

Please hang in there, take a deap breath, and reaffirm to yourself that you WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN!! I know it sounds corny, but I have been trying to practice "positive self-talk" throughout the day, just in my head. I remind myself that I can to this, other people have done this, and other people have lost way more than the 165 pounds that I need to lose.

Keep your chin up!!

Thank you to each and every one of you! I don't know why I have been avoiding coming on here because all of you have made me feel so much better and more positive about this! This is a time when I can now dwell on the negative but figure out how to turn it into a positive. Bad times don't define our success in this journey, it's how you overcome them that does!

Thank you again so much! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
