I know everyone is different but ..... after you have received ur second fill is there more of a differece? I was banded on 2/14 and going for my sec fill next week. I have only lost 7ish pounds and feel discouraged. I feel really feel more hungry then before surgury!

It took until my 4th fill to feel much difference, but so far it hasn't made any difference in my weight. I am eating less finally, but hovering in the same spot. I'm discouraged, but not giving up yet.

I don't even remember how many it took for me, I've had 7. Each time after the 3rd it felt a little different. I haven't gotten one now for 2 months.

Honestly, if you have lost 7 lbs in a month- that is good.

The first time around I didn't feel anything at all until my third fill. After having surgery to restitch the band, it took four fills before I felt much restriction, and five fills to get to the green zone.

Of course, if you've got one of those (money-hungry IMHO) doctors that will only put in .2 cc's at a time, even in the beginning, it's going to take much longer.

From what I've read it can take people several fills in the first year before they can feel any difference.

I've had only 2 fills so far and I can tell you a few months after my first fill I felt like I was eating everything in sight although I had to do it much slower to compensate for the band. After this last fill 2wks ago I am definitely not hungry like I used to be and I honestly feel full for long periods of time to the point where I've incorporated more Protein shakes just to make sure I'm getting enough nourishment.

But you're right everyone is different don't be discouraged, you will find your "Green Zone".

Congrats on your first 7 lbs.

We're here for you :D

It took 3 for me. No difference at all until the 3rd (4 mths). I ate just as I had previously (hence the no weight loss). Then the magic started.....

Good luck to you!

Everyone is different....including the amount given with each fill.....I know a person who has g=had over 12 fills in 12 months....but only .5cc per fill....I had that much after my 2nd fill 2 months after surgery....

BTW, this person I refer to was miserable - unhappy for the whole year...hardley lost any weight...

I had two prior fills with 2cc's each fill and then on my third fill which was a few days ago, my surgeon put in 1cc. We think I am very close. I only know how much is in my band because she told me this last fill. I really haven't cared. Its not about numbers for me its about how I feel restriction wise and I think this last fill has me super close.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
