Any bandings in May????

Recommended Posts

It was a white strip... The 2 big incisions are covered with gauze and then with this plastic wrap over them, the other small ones just had that strip on them... The dr said it was ok if they came off so I guess it's ok, I think they may be glued? I'm on day 4 now and still have horrible gas pains! And I can't even get down one Protein Shake a day....

Yeah, definitely different. Mine simply had gauze Over what was shown. I took it off/changed to shower daily. Feel better! :)

My surgery was 5/6. That picture is old, it was taken two weeks post op. my incisions look great now. I feel great! I'm exercising (walking/jogging 1-3 miles) 6 days a week. Feeling very good, I get my first fill tomorrow (4 weeks post-op). I have no pain from any of my incisions at all.

I'm scheduled for my first fill today. For some reason I'm really nervous. I wasn't nervous about the surgery so this is throwing me for a loop. I thought about canceling the appt but have chosen to ignore whatever is telling me to do that and am just going forward. I know it's for the best, not sure why I'm so nervous?? Happy thoughts sent my way would be appreciated!!

You will do great! First fill was about 2 weeks ago for me. Piece of cake, nothing to it. You'll be relieved once you realize that you worried for nothing :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
