To weigh or not to weigh?

Recommended Posts

I weigh weekly and at most twice a week. The daily fluctuations drive me crazy when I feel like I worked hard and ate good and then I'm up.

I weigh myself daily but only record one day (Wednesdays) as my official weight. The rest of the days is just out of curiosity.

I do the exact same thing. My official days are Wednesdays too. I do the daily weights just to see if I ate something that I shouldn't eat again (too heavy, or too much sodium) and it holds me accountable.

I weigh weekly because every day would drive me crazy. I do not own a scale. I do understand why people weigh more often. I have learned on here that there is no wrong answer and everyone has to do what works for them.

I guess I'm one of the odd ones. I weigh weekly so I don't get frustrated. And, I have worked hard to accept whatever it says, gain or loss. I have to remind myself that the fit of my clothing means just as much as those numbers on the scale.

I weigh weekly as well, and I absolutely go by the fit of my clothes! Everyone has to do what works for them

I must confess, when I'm actively trying to lose (like the month of Feb when I was on Atkins) I weighed every single day. When I'm not doing very well nutritionally (like now), I don't. I really don't want to see what the number says.

I've always been an advocate of weighing once a week (yu can make or break your day by weighing everyday), but I like to know if I've gone up by even just 1 lb. That way you can work on it sooner.

I've read a study recently that said that people who weigh everyday tend to be slimmer. You can get your gains under control sooner, not letting it get out of control

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
