He took all he put in the day before out. Since then it has been very slow for me. I feel weak. I'm able to drink a little Water at a time but this is now day two. I have only had 1/2 cup of Soup juice twice. My throat hurt when i drink or try to eat soft food. Tried yogurt this even and after 30 min. only been able to eat a couple spoonful. I,m tried of everything coming back up. any suggestion?

You are swollen from irritation and should be on liquids. My Dr. usually puts people in this situation on liquids for about a week.

Take it easy and you will go back to normal.

A WEEK! OK at least I know it should take some time.

Yep, liquids until the swelling goes down. Being we are not Drs, you should give them a call and see what they advice. After all, they make the big bucks.

My surgeon's office says we need 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after a fill/unfill. Try to go on liquids for a day or 2. Good Luck to you! Karen

Liquids definitely. Once aggravated the area around the and will swell and you really have to give it a rest.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
