I am 6 months post op and after my last fill, which I think I am now in the green zone, I have been waking up in the middle of night having to burp and sometimes I burp up bile. I am thinking my band may be a little tight. I do have a call in to the doctor. Any thoughts?

This sounds to me like a sign of acid reflux, which often happens because a band is too tight. Give your doctor a call and discuss whether you need to have a small unfill. A lot of people ignore acid reflux, thinking they can just take an OTC med and chalk it up as the price to pay for the weight loss, but left untreated, it can lead to serious, even life threatening, problems down the road, like esophageal cancer.

Plus, who wants to be uncomfortable every time they go to bed? :P

If you're having night time reflux, you're in the red zone. Call your doctor ASAP. Let us know the outcome, please. :)

I had this problem after my last fill. I actually started happening about 3 weeks after. I was having reflux at night and had to go in for an unfill. I'm glad I did. I hesitated for the first few days cause I didn't want to lose the restriction I had. I only lost a little bit of the restriction but I'm eating how I should be and still losing weight. Now I can sleep through the night without puking. My doc also said if you get it into your lungs it can be very dangerous.

Yep unfortunate it sounds like you are too full. You really don't want that to continue to happen it can lead to more serious conditions. Great that you are calling your doctor.

You are not in the green zone if that is happening to you. I'll reiterate what everyone has already said - see your dr. Take care of yourself now for the long term

Definitely need a slight infill. Sometimes the smallest infill will do!

I was also finding myself choking on bile or acid reflux at night sometimes, especially the later I ate. It hasn't happened for a while although it still happens on a rare occasion. What I am experiencing is some burning sensation in my throat, which I guess is acid reflux? It's not really "burning" though it feels uncomfortable. I'm very happy at this level of fill, and I think I had this even when I was a little less filled in the band. Anyway, just wanted to share it and see if others had same issues. I feel like it happens when I eat particular foods, though I'm still learning what those are since it's fairly new.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
