Before were you consuming sugar and/or caffeine? I found drinking some weak tea helped with headache as before I had had caffeine every day.

I was banded the 19.$ we are supposed to feel hungry. Our band is in place but it will start to do its job after we get a fill. I mixed my liquids w meats. I also was starving. I know it's ad for me, but I sometimes eat a oil bit of regular foods. I have children. I need energy.

What Protein did u get? Does it taste good?

Hi Leslie, i guess i just dont knw what to expect. My doc said a lot of people dont get a fill for a year because of the swelling and the band itself without a fill does restrict. I just hope i feel full when i am able to eat. As for the protein...ive tried three...Unjury i didnt like because it leaves an after taste in your mouth..i also tried " something" Nectars, i cant remember the name. They have lots of flavors and BJ's Bariatrics will sell sample packets. I like the chocolate lavors the best but they also leave that taste. The best so ar is Designer whey, no funny after taste. I'm not trying to be harsh, but there is no excuse for eating regular food before your surgeon allows it. You're on a strict post op diet to give your stomach time to heal. By not following that diet you're risking not only a slip but ripping the sutures holding your band in place.

Stick to your post op diet.

Mis73', i am sticking to my post op diet, i didnt say i ate anything i shouldnt have. I was just wondering why i was so hungry since i ate yogurt and Soup and it didnt satiate me. I know now that isnt the case for some at this point.

Hang in there! This was impossible for me too and i somehow got through it and you will too. I did cheat and make a milky scrambled egg three times totally against my nutritionists advice :( try to stick to it.

you are getting more hungry as you are healing and the swelling is going down. 100% normal....just gradually add more and more to your food intake per your dr's instruction. ...and if one thinks they (cant) then they are right........each day gets easier....pinky swears.

No I know you didn't Leslie did. That's why I quoted her post in my response. My response was to her, not you.

Oh I didn't mean to say you were thinking of cheating or that you strayed from the liquids.! I just know that's how I felt and it was a very difficult two weeks for me anyway. I was starving. You're doing great! Keep it up :)

Are you serious? That's your response?

I was trying to help you from hurting yourself...but since you asked... it's obvious you're old enough though I'm now seriously questioning your maturity level.

Go ahead, do "what you feel like doing", however don't be shocked when you rip the sutures in your stomach or cause a slip because you weren't mature enough to do as your doctor instructed.

Good luck.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
