Medical bracelet

I saw this post going around the other day, but now cannot find it. I'm going to see my allergist tomorrow, and will be getting an updated medical bracelet. What is the proper term I should use for my lap band surgery?

    I'd say it's a good idea but not mandatory. If you're unconscious an EMT would appreciate knowing why they feel hardware in your abdomen.
