No more fat and tall section for me!!!

Recommended Posts

I have some high profile meetings coming up this week, so I went shopping to pick up the proper attire. I found a dress shirt that I really liked, but it was marked as a slim cut. I tried on anyhow and it fit! I have shopped the big and tall section all my life, and tonight I bought clothes marked SLIM!!!

When I started the journey a little over a month ago I was wearing 44 elastic waist band pants that had no stretch left in them, I bought size 38 tonight, and dress shirts with a size 18 neck. Size 18, I do not remember ever being able to wear a shirt that small, and there was plenty of room in the collar.

Oh and guys, the rumor is right, the less fat you have, the longer is it is. :D

Terry what a great feeling for you. I am the opposite of you.. I am very short and fat.. they don't make clothes that are both petite and xxl... so this week due to a 25 lb loss I could actually buy a petite , large.. I am looking forward to getting down to petite size small....

good for you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
