How often do you get an adjustment?

Recommended Posts

Seems like I'm always going to get a fill or Fluid taken out? I've had the band for 2 years. Is this a normal routine to do? I go about every 2-3 months to add or take out. And on the other hand I have a friend that had hers for 6 years and hasn't had a fill or fluid removed in 4 years.

I haven't gotten my LB yet, but from what I'm reading about on this website from different people's surgeries that everyone's body is unique and what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. It looks like from the ticker posted that you're having a lot of success and you're doing all the right things. I imagine though that having to go back to your surgeon for adjustments so often must get frustrating.

It is and I want to not feel alone in this and want to see if others experience the same thing. It's nice to have something in common with others to relate to on each of our journey with the band.

I was banded on June 22nd. I got my first fill 4 weeks later. Now I go back about every 4-5 weeks. Thus far I have gotten a fill each time of any where from .4 cc to 1.2 cc. My doctor does fill with floro so they always check my band to see what George (my band) has to say about things.

My doctor requires patients come in every 4-6 weeks for the 1st year and after that it totally depends on the patient and how things are going. When I got my last fill I thought I was in the zone, but now I think I may need a tiny adjustment, but I've lost 6 lbs since I was last there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
