Hi cullychick No im on the 11th. I replied late last night. I spoke with Dr. office today n except for very extreme cases, they dont require you to do any pre-op diet except for night before surgery. Sounds good to me! :) She said get small bottle of adult gummy or chewable vitamins an a chewy calcium vitamin. Bought a crapload of sugarfree jello/pudding, fat free broth, some small containers, baby spoons, an borrowed a heating pad from my sis in law. Think I got it covered? I feel like a doomsday prepper!!:)

Oh gosh, I realized today it is less than a month away, 27 days!! I start my pre-op diet next week...eeek! Monday I have an EGD and I am actually getting freaked out, means I'm getting closer to surgery day. I remember when my EGD was over a month away and surgery seemed like way far away.

Today I had my pre-op testing for my March 13th surgery date, and let me tell you that the only thing that did not enjoy was the barium swallow....YUCK! You think that science would be able to make that stuff taste a bit better.

Can you believe in a week from now we will be home recoverying with out lap bands?? I am so excited!! I am ready to start a new beginning. I am mentally and physically ready for this!! Now if I could just fast forward the time it would be great..lol.

I am scheduled for March 4th.

March 4th here too!! 2 more days!!!

I continue to read that most of you been on a preop diet for multiple weeks. I was placed on a diet starting today. 2 days three shakes plenty water. 2 days clear liquid. am I the only one told one week

I had to do a whole month on liquid... lol, they were just terroizing me i guess lol!! My first 2 weeks 3 proten drinks, one meal. then the last 2 weeks only drinks and allowed to eat pickes, cukes, celery and maybe a piece of cheese or meat if i cant take it, per my nutritionist. 2 days left and im used to it now, just ready to get the procedure done!!

Wow Sara, great job. I have finished 1 week and have 1 to go. Doing it for a month couldn't have been easy. You should be very proud of yourself!! Good luck on Monday!!

Hey everybody. Wanted to let y'all know surgery went really well. Got there at 6:30 and was out by 10:30. I was in pain when I woke up mostly from the gad but I started walking around a lot as soon as they let me because I knew if ijust sat there the pains wouldn't go away. We stopped two times on the way home jusy to walk around. Hubby stopped to get something to eat and I decded to take my nausea Med followed by my pain Med and I'm not sure exactly why but I threw up like 3 times. After that I let my stomach settle and then prob 1 HR later took the liquid nausea Med.) Let that settle & coat my tummy for about 10min before taking the liquid hydrocodone...no problems with throwing up after that. So from now on iwill let the nausea Med settle before taking the pain Med. They found a hiatial hernia that had to be fixed before they could place the band. I also had plication. No pain at all from that. So I had hernia a repair, lap band, and plication yesterday & survived to tell the tale! Lol best advice I can give is walk walk walk. Anf let nausea med settle before taking the pain med. Walking It helped me soooo much. Hope yall are all going great

I am doing well after surgery yesterday but I have thrown up 2xs today and am still very nausea.

Mine is scheduled for march 7.

March 7th here too!
