Surgery is March 8. Started two week preop diet last Friday...four shakes, one small meal, one fruit, clear liquids and no sugar jello for first week; second week all liquids. Is anyone else having difficult time? I've cheated 2x, just a little and feel so guilty. since Friday only lost .6 pound.

I know how you feel are you exercising too? I just found out that I have lost a total of 9lbs. I was stuck at six for a minute. Where are you having your surgery? don't loose your faith you can do this! don't give up.I have my sugery on the 8th as well.

Mine is Scheduled for March 28. When I went in for my labs they discovered I was diabetic, but just barely as in my numbers were just over the benchmark, but im taking medicine now and ive lost 15 lbs already by not eating sugar and low carbs! Im having labs done again in two weeks to see if I can still have my surgery in March.

My diet isn't nearly as strict as I'm seeing on here. It's a 2 week diet. I was a couple days late starting due to finances. But I'm supposed to do 2 protein shakes and a dinner with the whole 4oz protein, etc. I have cheated a couple times but it was eating extra protein. I'm down about 5 lbs in the past 3 days. I have switched it up and I have actually been eating the "meal" at lunch time instead of dinner. That fits my hunger pattern better.

Mine is the same as yours, by the time I get home I am starved sometimes but I have been managing it ok.

Started my 2 week pre-op diet today, 1 day late just because I wanted one last day to eat whatever I wanted!!! Did great today, it's mind over matter at this point-we'll see tho how I feel tomorrow;)

So I have pre op appointment on the 7th what are the things they do and what test do they do? Just wondering =)

I am March 4th - cant wait!!!!

We are the same day :). This is my 10th day into the pre-op diet (for me, four shakes + unlimited nonstarchy veggies) and I was down 10 lbs this am. The diet is hard - especially since I still have to prepare meals for my kids and family - but seeing those numbers drop on the scale already sure is motivating. My efforts at dieting have never been this successful before!

I had blood work, EKG, and chest x-ray :)

I have until May. I tried the bariatric fusion protein shack and they are quite good. I have my first nutrition class tomorrow. I have a little over 200 lbs to loose. I have tried everything else I just hope it will help. I wish everyone the very best health and here is to our new start.

Thanks I know I have a full morning planned at the dr. Next Thursday just had no clue to what would happen. It kinda makes me nervous something would cause it to be postponed. I'm ready for my day to speed along.

Just received my BCBS approval and my date is MARCH 21st, 2013!!! I'm nervous about the surgery and pain, but just trying to expect the worst and hope for the best!! Right now I am cutting out my Diet Coke and weaning myself off drinking while eating. I meet with the Bariatric nurse next week to discuss the specifics.

Soooooo excited!!!!!!!
