Well, it's been one week since surgery. Feel fine, no pain or soreness. A little hunger but not too bad or unbearable. liquids going down really easy. No feeling of "being stuck". I think getting enough Water in every day will be my downfall, but I'm sure it will become habit soon and become second nature.

Thanks for the support!!

That's great!!!! They don't want you to get stuck. If you do that means your doing something wrong. Your not getting stuck means your doing it right. I had problems with water. I drink a bottle in the morning, noon and evening and IRS been working pretty good. Add some.crystal lite to it.

Banded on August 5th. I'm stuck at 13 lbs lost, lost it the first week or so, but staying steady at 189 for over a week. I suspect that they didn't put any Fluid in my band because I'm hungry now and trying hard not to eat and stick with Water or unsweetened iced tea. (but I will admit that I'm failing with that).

I started walking five miles each night a few nights ago. Plan to join a gym in a couple of weeks after I get green light from doc at appointment on Sept 5th (that's also when I'm getting my first fill).

Trust me ! It will move especially of you have added exercising to your program . I had my 20th class reunion this weekend and noticed the scale went up. But that's okay. Back on it.

I know it will, just want it all now. I've just started a food diary today too. Figure I'll see when (and what) I'm eating to see if I need to make more changes. Trying to make sure that I'm not just eating out of boredom or not eating too close to bed time, etc. Plus, I think it will help me to think twice before putting anything in my mouth if I know I'm writing it down. Mind over matter type of thing.

Good morning Houston ladies. Today would have been a great day to finally meet each other. We could have met at the Galleria for a girls' day. Not necessarily to shop lol but to just hang out and get to know each other better. Maybe next weekend. I know during the week is difficult for me. What do you ladies think? @ Fearfefe, I live in Crosby so I'm out your way all the time. I like to shop at Deerbrook and TJMaxx in Atascocita. Maybe we could meet at TutiFruiti on 1960 one day.

Fashion Stylist - Thanks for recommending My Fitness Pal, it works great and the scale is finally moving. Looks like I wasn't being as "good" as I thought I was until I started tracking the food and exercise daily.

The 28th works for me as well. Looking forward to meeting everyone and thanking you in person! You've been a great support!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
