I had my band surgery two days ago on Wednesday. I haven't been too sore but I have a horrible headache from the anesthesia and from caffeine withdrawal. I'm tired too, but that's probably because I'm trying to keep up with work and help my husband with the kids.

I don't know how I feel. I wasn't one of those who had like a 10 or 15 pound weight loss before surgery and so i don't have any positive momentum forward yet. Right now, i feel more obsessed with food than ever before in my life. I spent most of yesterday having cravings for all kinds of things. Very odd. And kind of tough.

Most times yesterday had you asked me, i would have taken food over the possibility of losing weight. I'm hoping that some of the mental cravings go away in the next couple of weeks.

Hope everyone else who went this month is doing well! Let's support each other :)

Thanks, "honestly"!

What a difference a few days makes! I am down 15 pounds from my pre-surgery weight of 326! The scale says 311 this morning! And I feel good and positive and not so tired. I don't know if it's because the residual anesthesia has worn off or because I started some mushy foods yesterday but I feel more "in balance" and less starving and obsessed with food. At this point, I would say it was worth it, which I wouldn't have said two days ago. This is a bigger process than I could truly understand before i did it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
