Okay- I know gross, but we all have to go so......

Pre surgery I never had an issue with going potty, I went daily. Now I am having major trouble. I will go sometimes a week with out going, my weight will go up by 2-3 lbs. When I finally do go I feel weak and I drop that 2-3 lbs. I take stool softeners daily, and that helped for a while, but now it's doing nothing.

It's been 5 days and I am feeling horrible- any advice? My doctor told me before not to use stimulate laxitives- what else will help?

I am getting Fiber in each day, but that doesn't seem to do much.

I use Ducolax Balance, not a laxative, but like a Fiber supplement, only it doesn't thicken and you can add it to any drink. Tasteless and clear.

Ask your Dr what he recommends for you.

I have the same problem and found a fiber tablet that I only have to take 2. Just was told that ground flax seed is good to add to everything so I am going to get that also today...the weight really does change after a BM.

I also use Maralax, not everyday. If i go 3 days without then I'll take a dose and that is usually all I need to get things moving. Sometimes have to take it for 2 days.

Talk with your doctor and see what he recommends.

My doc put me on half dose Miralax daily. Fiber and stool softeners did nothing for me. I am pretty regular now... but it is still not daily. Remember you are eating much less. Do chat with either your PCP or Lap Band doctor for their advice for your situation.

I have had the complete opposite experience in this situation! Before surgery I went once every 3 days or so. Now I'm daily. Weird. I started taking Calcium and magnesium in the last week or so and now I'm going multiple times a day. Don't know if that has something to do with it or just coincidence, but it's good, right? =)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
