Curves Complete - Anyone doing it?

Recommended Posts

I hit a plateau back in October and have been right around 190lbs ever since. Ugh. I joined Curves and signed up for the Curves Complete plan. It's $12 a month more and it includes a diet plan and weekly coaching, weighing and measuring. It's only been 5 days and I am liking it so far. I can't follow the diet plan exactly due to the LapBand, but as long as I stick to similar foods then it seems to be working. I feel great working out 4 days a week there and am doing cardio at home the other 3 days. I really want to get past this hump.

My new goals for the new year are...

  • Monthly, to lose at least 5lbs.
  • To have lost a total 100lbs by my 18 month bandiversary on 04/07/13. (15lbs to go)
  • To get to by goal weight and a size 8 by my 2 year bandiversary on 10/7/13! (41lbs to go)

One thing I realized too late last year, was my expectations were a little high. I did so good in the first year, which is when you will obviously lose the most, that I didn't consider my body would eventually get accustomed to the change and start losing slower. I have adjusted my diet, exercise and goals and am hoping for something great this year!

Have any of you joined Curves or the Curves Complete program? Let me know how you are doing and if you have any suggestions.

Thanks!

I would not want to call it a diet... the workout plan is great, but we don't diet, we change our lifestyles.

Absolutely! When I say diet I don't mean the temporary kind that we have all learned to hate until our respective surgeries. I mean the "diet" that we all live with everyday and should be natural. (example: food or feed habitually eaten or provided: The rabbits were fed a diet of carrots and lettuce.)

=)

Sounds like a great idea!

It's good to see you fighting back against a plateau with good old fashioned elbow grease and a good attitude! Hope you do well. You have inspired me to do something similar so thank u so much!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
