This has been a really rough weekend. To give you some background on what's happened. Thursday I went for a fill my fourth. that night I came home had a pickle and it didn't go well didn't eat again until the next morning. I had a yogurt which took me an hour to eat. I started having pain as the yogurt was going down. My abdomon was very tender. That afternoon I had a 102 fever I of course called the dr. he said to cone in the office to have Fluid removed. that's what I did. I no longer have the fever but my stomach feels very soar. every time I eat or drink it hurts. I have a very tender stomach right now feels as I did to many sit ups. I'm very concerned is this normal after being to tight. I'm going to call the dr tomorrow to let him know but any advice I can get here would be great

Well, glad you had the unfill. But, incase your surgeon's office did not say anything, you should stay on liquids for a day or 2 to let your stomach calm down. My surgeon recommends 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after aboth a fill and unfill. Only one time did I break that rule, that was when I, also, had not had anything for a day. But, generally you need to let you swollen stomach relax. Take it easy!!!Karen

PS:Even yogurt is hard to get to pass if you are swollen.

Funny your doctor didn't tell you for 24 hours on liquids only, then next 24 hours mushy food. I have to drink Water in front of my doctor to see if I can do it. Then since I'm 1 hour from his office, I have to stay in the lobby for about 35-40 minutes ato finish all the Water. He is a very cautiouous doctor.

Best wishes and Keep the Faith.

Yes unfill good. My surgeon out me on full liquids after unfill for three days...ok by day two and a half I was ready for dine hearty Soup but its normal that your tummy is tender, mine a tiny bit bruised but he was gentle. I am so relieved from the unfill. I feel like a new person. The last thing we need is to compromise our health or our band.

I'm feeling this way again. I have a soar stomach. My whole body aches and I have tightening around my abodomin. I haven't had a fill since they removed the 1cc. I'm not vomiting but it hurts to drink. I'm not sure if my stomach is inflamed from possibly over doing it around the holidays.I'll be calling my surgeon today.

Around the time of my period, my band is a lot tighter. Some days I have to go to liquids and mushies just to make sure I don't have discomfort. I don't need an unfill because the rest of the time it is ok, but for 2-3 days around my period I have to be careful.

Is it possible you're having some hormonal changes causing the changes you're feeling?

I was this way the last time I got an unfill.. It took a couple days for my stomach to heal/feel better. I had a piece of turkey stuck and ended up vomiting it up in the ER (after waiting 5 hours to be seen). My Dr was livid that I went to the ER (he is 3 hours away) but took out 1cc...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
