Are you tracking everything you eat? You must of been watching to not gain back any weight, you should be proud for that. Start back to basics, start measuring your foods, no more than a cup per meal. Drink plenty of Water. Get your Protein in. and of course exercise. Once you get back on track you will once again start losing like you did in the beginning. Have you had a fill yet?

You also might want to ask yourself: Are you hungry all the time? How many hours can you go before your next meal? When was the last time you saw your surgeon?

You can do this! Stay strong, and get back on track....

(hugs)

This is a hard journey, even though they gave us the band they did not give us a new brain or whisk away all of the old behaviors and this is the hardest part of this journey changing us. You have a good start, you have lost 31 lbs and luckily you have not gained. Agree with above statements, go back to band basics, weigh, measure, write it all down until you make it a habit. Even at 2 years post op I have bad weeks, I have weeks where I do not eat as well as I should and I have to slap myself silly and say, "What are you doing?' Change is very hard and even when you get all that you wanted from the band you still have to work on maintaining it. It is better to develop these habits Early so you have them for the long haul, this is a life style and not a diet as I am sure you are realizing and the hardest challenge we have all faced. Good luck, just know you can do it, you made a decision and a commitment when you had the surgery. You may also want to discuss your issues with your WLS and nutritionist, maybe your band needs adjusted, if it is really working the way it should it is easier to make healthy choices.

ok so you (got off course)

get right back on it. the dr and the nutritionist

gave you not only a fantastic tool to aid you in getting

your healthy body back but also great advice on what to eat

and not to eat and how much. so start by following those instructions again...its pretty simple. start over (now).

Get in touch with your surgeon and let him help you get back on track. This is not an easy journey and anyone that says it is, never had a problem with food. Everyday its hard even at three years. You have to want it badly. You have to understand that your relationship with food has to change now and that falling off so early in the game will not help you. Call the people you need to call for your support and understanding of what you need to do to get yourself back on track then don't sway from that until you have reached goal. Even in maintenance you still have to watch what you eat or you will regain. Its a commitment you have to make for yourself. We can only give you support but its basically up to you.

I agree with all the posters thus far... get back to basics. Start with the next meal. If about a cup of food isnt keeping you satisfied for at least four hours it may be time for a fill.

Your band is newer and you are not at optimum restriction! You are in bandster hell! Remind yourself it is not you, just don't have your band fine tuned yet! Do not give up, start new habits today, journal and exercize show yourself how successful you can be with the tool you have.....give it more time before you become discouraged! YES...you can!

thanks every one that is great advice,, ive been pretty good today,, didnt exercise but im controlling portions again,, not eating till i feel fall just eating my cup,, and drinking Water,, thankfully this morning my scale read 120.8 which was a massive boost to get my ass back into gear,, i can do this,, i just have to get really organised again,, i gotta keep reminding myself its a lifetime change not a quick fix,, but i am kinda bummed i fell off so early :( but i will get back on it,, and i think i need another fill,, but surgeon isnt really much help,, he litterally tells me to eat a cup of food whenever im hungry and that i can keep whatever i want,, just only cup portions, he has never said anything about exercise or nutrition , i dont have a nutritionist,, im doing it all on my own :(

but im not giving up,, im going to get this right,, i had another boost this afternoon,, i saw my cousin for the first time since one week post op,, and litterally said "hollly f**** " when he saw me :) that was a massive ego boost,,

thanks everyone for the support,, its great to know that i have people i can reach out to if i need help

Dust yourself off and get back on the horse. It is a journey, not a destination. Keep at it!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
