Not Losing Since Last Fill

Recommended Posts

It has been 2 weeks since my last fill and I do feel restriction but I'm not losing, actually gained a half lb this week. I go back to surgeon in 2 weeks. I lost almost 10 lbs last month so I really don't know what is going on. Eating the same if anything a little less because I can't eat as much as I did last month before this fill. Guess it will all work out.

Its just a plateau... I had one for 3 weeks ...Try upping your Water intake. Sometimes that sparks a movement... Or do something physical like cutting grass if you dont have snow on the ground....

thanks everyone, I guess it is a plateau, but that doesn't mean I like it! lol. Never have stalled like this yet until now and I'm only 5 months post op. I will increase my Water, can't mow, we've already had hard freezes here in Western Ky and grass isn't growing and I'm awaiting on the snow...heehee however today is 60 outside on that note I think I will take the pup for a walk around the block. I have a Dachshund and she is only 19 mos old and loves to get out so it would do us both good to walk. I go back to the Dr on the 6th.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
