Hi Everyone, I just had my appt with the surgeon today and have been given the 17th of Dec. Looking forward to the journey. Hopefully make a few band buddies along the way.

Finally my insurance approved me! I will be getting banded December 17th! What a great way to start the new year!

Im getting my band december 3rd and in so nervous! Just found this site. Im on day 4 liquid diet and ive almost eaten nothing just because the shakes are so horrible

Hi there I am being banded on 18 Dec. I can't wait it seems it is all I can think of! I don't care that I can't eat Christmas dinner or anything. I see this as my present to myself I have not told anyone close. Can't bear the judgment. I do that enough to myself. Looking forward to keeping up with all your results.

Btw. I am in Australia so different time zone to all of you.

Well I have started my pre-op diet. My surgeon restricts us to 30 gm carbs. So we don't have to do just liquids. So far am very hungary. But my problem with past diets wasn't that I couldn't follow them, I just couldn't follow them long enough. Even after I lost 70 lbs I couldn't stop myself from gaining it back to 10. :(

I'm in December on the 6th I'm in michigan!

I'm getting banded on the 14th of December. Super excited but a bit nervous too.

I´m adding to my post. So my surgery is now Dec 28 because i am so graceful ;) and fell yesterday breaking my ankle. So i will have surgery on that first.

Me! I am scheduled December 13th and I am in Texas :-) i am so nervous and excited at the same time! EEEEKKKK! :D

Are you guys worried it wont work? Im not worried about never eating the same again. But im worried about never being able to eat the same and not losing enough weight!! Im also worried about infections complications etc...

I'm very worried. I'm an OR nurse and have complete faith that things will be fine. I think ignorance is bliss in this instance! I'm afraid I won't lose weight, as I've tried so many things so many times and failed. I think I've convinced myself that being heavy was just the way I was going to be forever and now there's this hope....just scared. My surgery is next Thursday. I'm emotional...anyone else?

Mama2girls- I'm a nurse too so I know where you are coming from. My biggest fear is of complications down the road like erosion or a slip. I'm confident that the surgery will be fine. I'm choosing to be confident that this will work for me. I know if I follow the rules it will. If I don't, it won't. I'm going to work my band so that I'm successful. I really believe that people who fail with the band fail because they don't follow the rules.

I'm a little worried I won't lose the weight and I'm scared and excited all at the same time my surgery is scheduled for next Thursday and the closer I get to it the more nervous I get. I'm sure ill be fine because I feel I'm in very good hands with the Dr I choose!

Well offically at midnite starts my preopt diet im so nervous im so use to the eat n live life i dont know how im gonna get thru plus my job is hard work i need physical strength as well as mental strength omg i know how i get when i dont eat banded on the 10th dec illinois banders lets keep eo motivated

IM MY OWN MOTIVATION

I'm a nurse too. I know complications happen, but I've been a nurse almost 30 years and the majority of the time surgeries go as planned.

That's the same pre op diet I have, except he prefers you drink two protein shakes a day and then one small meal. What have you been eating? I know hungry is hard, but it's only one week til surgery and then just think of the rewards we will reap! Skinny in 2013 here we come! Btw, I'm getting banded next Thursday too
