  1. I'm still very swollen in the abdomen since surgery 12/6. This is normal and will just take time to go down. Give yourself about six weeks to have swelling down and drink lots of water to help with fluid retention.
  2. I was banded 12/6 and went to the gym for the first time today since surgery. Boy did it feel good to sweat! I'm eating a "normal" diet again. I have found that I cannot eat bread, which many bandsters have said before, but with no fill I had to try. Let me tell you, if you have something stuck, you will know it. There is no guessing on this one. Good thing is it comes back up pretty easily. Gross I know, but now I know what pb'ing is all about. I go for my first fill January 14. I have gained 2 lbs since surgery, but now that I'm working out again and able to eat more protein I expect it to start coming off soon. Good luck everyone and looking forward to s thinner 2013!
  3. Good Luck Mama2Girls and hisladyvi
  4. Getting ready to take the kids to school and then straight to the hospital! today is the day, OMG I can't believe it's here already!
  5. Tomorrow is the day!!!! I'm sure I won't sleep a wink! Don't forget a robe, socks and chapstick. I'm also taking a fuzzy throw to put on my legs. Of course, this only applies to those of us that are staying overnight. Oh, and your cellphone charger so you can keep us all updated. Good luck everyone!
  6. Thanks marybell! Can't wait until Thursday. It's been so exciting getting on the scale and knowing I'll never see that number again. My 12 year old daughter made me promise to let her pick out my new wardrobe when I get to goal!
  7. Sure you can dilute it. My protein says to mix with 4oz but i use 8 oz almond milk and 10oz water. I could never drink it if i mixed it full strength
  8. Good luck and no cheating you date will be here before you know it!
  9. I'm getting so excited! I cannot wait until Thursday!!!!!!
  10. So excited! Getting banded next Thursday 12/7 less than a week away!!!
  11. OMG! You look amazing!! You have become my inspiration! I can only hope I look half as good as you this time next year. Spectacular
  12. I love, love, love the lean dessert protein by BSN. Look them up on Amazon. Every flavor is good, but the chocolate coconut candy bar is my favorite! You can join their club on amazon and get free shipping and a discount.
  13. Don't fret, it took me about 5 tries to get bcbs to get it right. They kept saying my 6 month supervised weight loss was through the suregon when I went to my Pcp. Aggravating, but don't give up!..if you know you met all the prerequisites, fight, fight, fight!!

Great list - I love this idea. I've told my family I don't like roller coasters for years because I knew I wouldn't fit. Can't wait to go to Universal this summer and ride everything! And air line seats, don't get me started. I've paid for the upgrade to first class out of my own pocket on business travel just to keep from being embarrassed, so I feel you there! Best of luck to you
  17. This is great news! I would love to see better trackers for carbs and nutrients. Also more categories for exercise. MFP doesn't recognize mini trampoline which many of us have to use to get started with exercise at home.
  18. My nutritionist said coffee and tea are fine in moderation, but to be sure to drink a glass of water for every cup you have.
  19. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Day 4 of pre op diet under way. I had a shake for breakfast and then only Turkey while the rest of the family had their big Thanksgiving meal. I survived, so anyone that's worried about doing this during the holiday can do it to. You've had this kind of food before, you know what it tastes like, you can have some next year. It will all be worth it!
  20. Mine's Dec 6 in good old south Georgia!
  21. Well, made it through day 3 of pre op diet. I get 2 or 3 protein shakes and one meal low carb. I've been doing the bsn lean desert protein with water and a splash of almond milk. To mix it up, my nut suggested a sprinkle of sugar pudding mix then blend with ice. Today did choc protein with banana cream pudding. Like drinking a banana split, YUM! dinner has been lean protein with lettuce and cheese. I have to say it hasn't been bad. I must keep in mind this is the first step in a journey and it won't be like this forever!!
