I start my preop in 5 days here in WV, surgery Dec. 10th.

I start in one week, the 28th. My dr gave me a 1,000 calorie food based plan rather than then liquids though so I'm thankful for that!

Well, made it through day 3 of pre op diet. I get 2 or 3 protein shakes and one meal low carb. I've been doing the bsn lean desert protein with water and a splash of almond milk. To mix it up, my nut suggested a sprinkle of sugar pudding mix then blend with ice. Today did choc protein with banana cream pudding. Like drinking a banana split, YUM! dinner has been lean protein with lettuce and cheese. I have to say it hasn't been bad. I must keep in mind this is the first step in a journey and it won't be like this forever!!

Dec 13 is my surgery!!!

Where is everyone from.. I'm having my surgery in Illinois!

Mine's Dec 6 in good old south Georgia!

You have the right attitude, because this is absoletely a journey and it sounds like you're doing great. GOOD JOB!

Happy Thanksgiving !

Pre-op testing done, scheduled to meet with surgeon on Monday. But.....now I'm having doubts. I keep coming across these studies done on the complication rate of lap band. I'm more confused than ever :(

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Day 4 of pre op diet under way. I had a shake for breakfast and then only Turkey while the rest of the family had their big Thanksgiving meal. I survived, so anyone that's worried about doing this during the holiday can do it to. You've had this kind of food before, you know what it tastes like, you can have some next year. It will all be worth it!

My husband is scheduled for the 12th and I'm scheduled for the 19th. We live in Louisville. We ate super excited to make this lifestyle change. We have been blessed with 2 beautiful boys. We are embracing the opportunity to model a healthy lifestyle and being able to keep up with our boys. Happy Thsnksgiving everyone

How was everyone's Thanksgiving dinner? I over ate as I expected I would. I felt like it was my last turkey dinner. I know the band doesn't change my way of eating so I am praying I will not mess this up

I had a fairly decent thanksgiving dinner. I spent the better part of two days cooking so by the time the actual meal came around I was pretty bored of it. I am excited to start my journey this year and see how next Thanksgiving is going to turn out!
