Higuys! Just wanted to give you all an update. I was banded on the 4th. Got my staples out friday. The first week after surgery was hard! But i am already eating and feeling normal. I just cant wait until they fill me in 5 weeks. Praying i feel restriction because as of right now i still am hungry often and eat regular portions. Good luck everybody!!!!!

Yes i was banded tuesday n had bad neck n shoulder pain. Walking and even standing around helped alot. Finally feel good today!

I was banded tuesday. Im in pain still not too bad just uncomfortable. Im starting to get hungry and im dredding the shakes.... Thinking of trying some cooked veggies or something. Anyone else ate yet afterwards?

Hey everyone my surgery is dine. It was tough. They found a hiatal hernia when they went in and repaired it. Was under fir about 3 hours. Woke up with no pain meds that sucked. Nobody could find the order. But once i got them its been ok. Lots of gas pain right at the bottom of my breat bone. The WORST part is here they make u stay overnight and nothing by mouth until they get an xray tkmorrow. Jo water no ice chips nothing. My throat is so dry it hurts! But tomorrow will b better and on the road to recovery good luck everyone!

Laying here and cant sleep just thinking tomorrow night ill be laying here thinking about waking up to go to the hospital! This is so nerve racking! #dec4

Has anybody heard about having a cold for surgery? I dont feel really sick but i have a scratchy throat any surgery is tuesday so im really hoping they dont have to postpone it mainly because im already on day 10 of shakes n sugar free jello...

They just called and moved my surgery to the 4 TH which means an extra freakin day of pro op diet ughhh fml!! #cantwaittilitsover

Soup and juice have calories and sugar. Thats not allowed for the diet. Otherwise it would be easy! I would love some right now lol. Day 6 down!

Yes we do! I guess my bmi is right where they want it for surgery so they said 10 is ok. They wanted me to lose 20 lbs and i did it in 3 weeks. Im motivated lol they can tell! The diet is supossed to be up to 6 shakes a day. Jello, chicken broth, sugar free popsicles and lots of water but my diet is pretty much jello n water. When i feel so hungry i wanna throw up i drink a shake. Im scared to have anything or gain any weight. They said if i do they will reschedule surgery!! This is the craziest thing ever but i know nobody better tell me i took the easy way out im working my butt off! By the way im Gina! Praying for all of our success!!!

Are u doing it at mercy? I hate the shakes im lucky if i drink one a day. Other than that its just water i cant believe ive made it 5 days even

Im from Chicago. Getting banded on Monday. Im on 10 day liquid diet and sooo sick of it! I know how and can eat healthy. I just really hope this helps me feel like im not starving all day. I also feel like it doesnt work only for those who dont eat right after. I am 5'11 and just 2 months ago i was 413 lbs. Now im 384. Everyone says i should just not get surgery n keep going since im doing good but i feel if i couldnt lose it in 27 yrs this time is no different. I need that help and motivation and im not about to wait n then next thing u know my insurance doesnt cover it!! So dec. 3rd it is!!

Are you guys worried it wont work? Im not worried about never eating the same again. But im worried about never being able to eat the same and not losing enough weight!! Im also worried about infections complications etc...

Im getting my band december 3rd and in so nervous! Just found this site. Im on day 4 liquid diet and ive almost eaten nothing just because the shakes are so horrible
