One week post op.

Hi band friends. I'm one week post op & wondered when will the discomfort stop? They repaired a hiatal hernia as well & I still can't burp, I'm extremely tired even though I'm taking vitamins & I'm having constipation issues. Any suggestions?

Hi there, I'm a week and two days post surgery and I feel the same. I also had the hernia repair and I'm really uncomfortable too. I think it's normal but It might be comforting to know someone else feels the same. I'm really tired to. I'm trying to take it easy.

The hiatal hernia repair makes the pain hang on a little longer. Go without a bra for a couple days and that will help! You may have that tired feeling for a month. Let your body heal. Drink lots of water and walk for short periods of time a lot, like every hour. Start adding a powder fiber to your water and a stool softener. You are not eating fiber like you used to. You have just freaked your body out. Best wishes!

Thanks for sharing the highs and lows, it will be helpful when it's my turn.

I'm having my hernia repaired also.

I had the same and I am now a week and 6 day. It took me ten days to feel better. Now everyone's body react different but it took me ten days. Hang in there and congratulations to u!
