Restriction Is A Lot Less After 4.5 Days Post Op - Is This Normal ?

I'm sorry that ya'll are uncomfortable. =( Hope ya'll feel better! And FYI, when I said mashed potatoes, I meant really thin, watery mashed potato Soup. Lol. They weren't great at all, but went down fine, as does cream Soups. I'm sooo nervous to start other foods in a couple weeks. Lol.

I'm not in a rush, but I do feel that I'm not getting enough Protein. I'm having a very hard time. I got unflavored and I'm going try to add more to my Soup today. It kinda gets pasty so I have to spread it out during the day. Lol. But I'm taking my Vitamins, I can't be too bad off.

I'm finishing up my huge tub of Elite fusion but it's made me feel like I have indigestion or reflux (don't know, never has either prior to surgery) the most out of all the fluids I've been taking in, so I gave it up already. =(

I totally get this! I graduated to mushies last Thursday and have eaten 1/2 cup mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup of scrambled eggs and 1/2 cup refrained Beans. Not all in the same day. But I am not nearly as restricted as I was week 1. Still only eating 1 or 2 meals of mushy and the rest shakes. Hoping my first full will get me where I feel restricted.

When I "eat" (drink) my food, I've been getting a pain in my lower left side. Is this my.... Full alert? I'm so ashamed that I've never really felt full, it's always been stuffed cause I'd clean my plate and eat because I just wanted to! Again, I just had surgery on the 12th. I've been thinning mashed potatoes and other thicker stuff. I was told this was okay, but maybe I should just stick to the cream Soups and broth? =/ my "mashed potato water" makes me feel full and gives me more energy than the other stuff. =( lol, all I wanna do is sleep this week!

Is the Elite fusion a whey Protein product? I ask because I'm wondering if the problem is related to lactose intolerance (whey is made from milk). It might be a very mild intolerance that's just aggravated because the Elite Fusion is a big part of your caloric intake right now, and that will decrease as you transition into purees and solid foods.

I added one scoop of unflavored Protein to Greek yogurt and applesauce in the morning. That got me to almost 30 grams right off the bat, mid morning shake took me to 54. The other 16 came easy.

It was happening when I was just doing broth. I've on been back on my shakes for a few days now. I'm getting ready to head to my post op appointment right now, guess we'll see what the doctor says! I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I'm also having pain in my lower left side of my stomach. I'm hoping that it's not a problem. It hurts more when I eat and then kind of lingers the rest of the day. =/ food is going through no problem though.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
