Oh no Gabriela! You should NOT feel blocking! You are too tight but also the foods you listed are not good for your band! You shouldn't eat anything that "gums" up- tortillas, bread, Pasta. fruit with skins can be a problem too. Also you won't feel satisfied eating soup & mashed potatoes- these are slider foods that go thru the band easily but won't help you lose weight. Did your dr give you a sample diet? Did you see a nutritionist? Look under the "food" threads on this site for ideas. And GO SEE your dr! :-)

jrae thank you for your help. It's very helping me. I will check the food's ideas. My doctor only says I need fill may band and I only saw my nutritionist before surgery as a requirement for insurance approves the surgery. This is the worst post surgical service. They do not care about the patients.

I'm sorry honey, but you really need to see a nutritionist and learn how and what to eat after being banded. It's extremely important that you know these things! It sounds like your Doctor is not helping you at all. Are you communicating with him well?

Thank you Pkb. I can communicate very well with the doctor because he speaks Spanish like me. But the doctor never helped me. He only talks about adjusting the band and nothing else. Oh yeah, something else, the last adjustment of the band sent me a $ 600 bill. I received this bill this morning. If any of you can recommend me a nutritionist in Illinois near Chicago will be very good for me.
