Yogurt and some low fat cream Soups (if you can eat that). I was way over prepared and thought it too much, I ended up getting all sorts of high Protein drinks (carnation bfast, clear ensure and recovery gatorade), powders etc and couldn't stomach any of them..........big waste of money. Make sure you like the Protein before buying the grocery store out. I ended up going back to my pre op shakes.

Good luck to you.

Do you have a stick blender? I used mine to mince up the fruit found in Greek yogurt. Since Greek style is thicker (also has twice the protein) I added fat free milk to make it thinner. I was allowed yogurt in week 3. I also used Splendra since Greek style is sour.

I bought stock instead of broth had a lot more flavor. I added Mrs Dash non salted flavorings before heating. Increased the flavor by A LOT.

In my personal opinion don't bother with salt free stock/broth. You will be miserable enough without worrying about the salt in 8 oz of broth. Oh and by the way. Find one coffee cup in your collection that is actually a cup. Most mugs are twice that much. This way you won't need to measure out all the time. Also just buy name brand Jello and fat free pudding cups. They are sooo much better tasting and again you're only getting like 400 cals a day. You should at least enjoy them.

I don't have a stick blender but i have a magic bullet. I do still need to get broths. That's a great idea about the coffee cup! Great idea's thank you!

I wasn't allowed to have pudding until 2 weeks postop so check with ur doc to be sure when u can have it.

I liked Gatorade g2 low calorie, and sugar free Popsicles postop. I've seen some people here recommend liquid Tylenol but I never used it

Oh and I liked sugar free hot cocoa too. When I for sick of the Protein Shakes, I would add a cocoa packet in to cover up the taste of them

My Band Operation will be in Nov, and I've decided that I'd like to take more time to get used to the diet and so I've already started it. One of the biggest parts of my diet program is the 100% whey (Mint chocolate, banana Cream) 100% whey powder . I love this stuff, I often add pineapple/coconut juice to the banana Cream flavor for Pina Colada flavor. Also it's Hydalized, so it dissolves and digests very easily.

I've tried others, but this one is my fav, it tastes better, and it goes down easy.

You might want to go easy on the fruit juices...they're like drinking sugar (carbs). If you do use them, dilute them and use in limited quantities only...as per the instructions of the nutritionist who works with my surgeon.

Ya, I was told the same thing. Dilute with Water 50/50.

Best wishes on your journey!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
