Hi. I got banded on 9/11 and I'm hungry too but it seems like its gettin better. Ive been eating cream of wheat for one of my meals lately and it seems to help. I also eat some pudding as a snack.

What's your diet lookin like?

Yeah that's the diet my doc has me on, but the last 2 days I tried adding in the cream if wheat &

Then pudding and seem to be tolerating it ok.

It's weird to me that some people's docs have them eating soft foods like eggs right out of surgery. Maybe we just have some cruel doctors lol?

In another 3 days I get to add in stage 2 baby food and I'm freakin excited!

You are right I think some docs are that way...We'll starting Monday I can have baked fish, soft scrambled eggs, and soft fruits...can't wait cause I am very hungry right now...I'm beginning to wonder if I got a refill at surgery???

No I don't think they put anything in the band at surgery, at least my doc didn't. My first appt for possible fill isn't until like October 23rd!!! I guess they say it gives us time to heal and assess our weightloss and if we're having any difficulties keeping things down. I'm looking forward to my first fill. Hoping it will help me with my occasional hunger pangs.

I did liquids for 2 weeks prior to surgery.

I don't think you're the first person who has cheated. I would t worry too much about it but try to stick to it best you can now. They put you on that to shrink your liver so surgeon has easier time.

I stuck to mine religiously because I knew I had a fatty liver already and didnr want it to go from laparoscopic to open surgery

I just ate mashed potatoes, my friends mom had it done and she said that I should be fine if I did complete liquid for like 4 days before...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
