Hi. I got banded on 9/11 and I'm hungry too but it seems like its gettin better. Ive been eating cream of wheat for one of my meals lately and it seems to help. I also eat some pudding as a snack.

What's your diet lookin like?

Hello Wallflower..my doctor has me on nothing but jello, chicken broth, popcicles, and protein shakes....but talking to one of my other friends she told me to eat some mashed potatoes..I did so I kind of feel better

Yeah that's the diet my doc has me on, but the last 2 days I tried adding in the cream if wheat &

Then pudding and seem to be tolerating it ok.

It's weird to me that some people's docs have them eating soft foods like eggs right out of surgery. Maybe we just have some cruel doctors lol?

In another 3 days I get to add in stage 2 baby food and I'm freakin excited!

You are right I think some docs are that way...We'll starting Monday I can have baked fish, soft scrambled eggs, and soft fruits...can't wait cause I am very hungry right now...I'm beginning to wonder if I got a refill at surgery???

No I don't think they put anything in the band at surgery, at least my doc didn't. My first appt for possible fill isn't until like October 23rd!!! I guess they say it gives us time to heal and assess our weightloss and if we're having any difficulties keeping things down. I'm looking forward to my first fill. Hoping it will help me with my occasional hunger pangs.

Oh okay my 1st isn't until October 9th....so far I haven't been nauseous any....I've lost 29lbs so far since Aug 27th with the pre op diet....I looking to lose another 65-70..

That's amazing! You're doing really good! I've lost 11 pounds since my surgery 10 days ago.

Let me know how your fill goes please! I'm kinda nervous about it....

Hello Katie.....don't freak out you will be fine..I promise.I was the same way....I was so bad that they had to give me a shot in my I-V to calm me down...I did the liquid for 2 weeks prior...

THANKS!!I sure will....I am doing better....have been eating low carb veggie soups.....I just been putting in in my blender to make it creamy...

How bad did you cheat? Don't cheat because my doctor told me that he would cancel my surgery if I would've cheated not sure how your doc is.....I think you will okay...drink lots of water...are you drinking protein shakes?

I did liquids for 2 weeks prior to surgery.

I don't think you're the first person who has cheated. I would t worry too much about it but try to stick to it best you can now. They put you on that to shrink your liver so surgeon has easier time.

I stuck to mine religiously because I knew I had a fatty liver already and didnr want it to go from laparoscopic to open surgery

I just ate mashed potatoes, my friends mom had it done and she said that I should be fine if I did complete liquid for like 4 days before...

Katie,Wallflower is exactly right....you want your liver as small as possible that's less complications on you....I think you will be okay....
