Headed to the hospital now. Will update you all later. Have a good day everyone.

  • Hi Everyone... went back to work yesterday (desk job) after being banded on Friday 10/12. Surgical sites didn't bother me much the first few days but by Monday, the gas began to give me some shoulder

So I'm banded. Up and walked this evening. Only trouble liquid loratab doesn't like me . Puked twice getting iv morphine for now. Pain isn't to bad.

In hosp in very much pain. I really need support.

Hang in there honey! My first night was the worst. Pain meds are key. Walking too if you can. I had a panic attack in the hospital. So I totally understand. We are here for you sweetie! You got this!

Well' date=' I am home.. feeling a bit miserable but nothing to compare of the pain I thought I'd be in. I know it's only the first day lol. Breathing in my nose out my mouth has helped a lot. I feel the gas in my tummy, back and shoulder but it's not unbearable.. at times i moan out.. ****.. or gosh damn.. but thats about it. My surgeon was awesome and they said everything went very great!! They also repaired the hiatal hernia. Hard to sip water, because I get so bloated and uncomfortable when I take a few sips.. my tummy is very soar and get occasional pains.. All normal ?? I am waiting for another 40mins to take some more meds! When I fall asleep I dont feel a thing till I wake up. Thank you all for having faith in us.. you all have been such a help and inspiration and knowing we have all of you on this journey today is amazing in itself. <3 ya guys!....... ( ouch ) lol .. pain pain go awaaay![/quote']

I had to drink standing up or walking around for days. Helped with the bloating!

Thanks for all the feedback! Negativity doesn't really affect me, but I'm the type to speak up. Lol. I just want to ask them what the hell they were thinking when they got the band!

On another note, when I "eat" (drink) my food, I've been getting a pain in my lower left side. Is this my.... Full alert? I'm so ashamed that I've never really felt full, it's always been stuffed cause I'd clean my plate and eat because I just wanted to! Again, I just had surgery on the 12th. I've been thinning mashed potatoes and other thicker stuff. I was told this was okay, but maybe I should just stick to the cream soups and broth? =/ my "mashed potato water" makes me feel full and gives me more energy than the other stuff. =( lol, all I wanna do is sleep this week!

Chugging along. <3

Yes, I had the compression wraps, 1 shot in the belly. Outpatient. But my canadian friend. shots at home. with no pre existing. So-- I was also waiting for the "What in the world did i do to myself?" syndrome, but it never came,,, Thank Goodness. Now that im healing, i shouldve done this sooner, like the other 50000 ppl have sayd on the site already. haha.. But i feel FREE.. Free of insecurities in my future. Free of getting slight stares of, "Boy! she's a big girl" Free to fit in a roller coaster seat without having to be told,"sorry" you dont fit, and we cant squeeze you in" Free to soon shop in whichever MALL store i can ( afford) within boundaries, of course. Free to be seen as ME.

hang in there! The first night is the worst. I had to sleep in my recliner. Don't try and be tough, let the nurse know your pain level. If it gets away from you, it will be hard to catch up.

Slept sitting up on couch for 2 pm's, also. Still cant get completely up from lying position without help.. But i bet in the next 2 days i can. Thank you for all your inspirations here. Seeme---- Hang in there, be patient, you'll be "beaming" within No time!

The first night was the toughest for me but don't be afraid to ask for more pain meds. Sleep is so healing so if you can get comfortable, do it. I will keep you in my prayers tonight.

Very Disappointed :( Got a phone call & I guess my EKG came back adnormal, The tech was having alot of trouble with the machine the day I was there so I have to re-do it & of course do not call me till 4 after everything is closed. So I have to set it up tomorrow so looks like my surgery will b set back till November seeing I only have week to go .. BUMBED

Bummer!

I might require an intervention sometime soon. Lmao. I'm addicted to Pinning on Pinterest! We're moving in less than a month and I've got tons of projects planned to start the second we're unpacked. I've already started cooking all kinds of stuff that I've pinned! Good thing about it though, is that I'm not really interested in eating it... Just making it for the boyfriend and daughter (Who could eat lard for a week and not gain an ounce. Definitely didn't get that from me!) satisfies me greatly. =)

Anyone in Houston? I need a garage saling buddy... I need some "junk" drawers and side tables for a project. Lol. (I've always loved turning trash to treasure!)

I have been getting that pain on my left side after I eat or drink also, haven't figured out why yet but typically takes an hour or more to go away. If I'm up walking around I don't notice it until I sit down then I don't want to sit, lol. Today was the first day I had mashed potatoes and wow they are an energy booster.

I was banded on May 2nd.

I believe it is from overrating and drinking too fast. I get the pain in my lower left side about belly button height. But I only get it when I've eaten more than I should.

I would suggest eating slower and measure your portions first. This will eliminate the possibility if over eating.
