  2. Tomorrow has been one year since my surgery. I have lost 70 pounds. I don't regret a thing.
  3. I had surgery Oct 22 and I'm down 46lbs. I went about a month and didn't lose then all of a sudden I dropped 7lbs in a week.
  4. I am a nurse and my doctor said I had to be off 6 weeks. I don't believe 2 weeks will be enough. The fatigue is the bad part.
  5. It will take about 2 weeks of a stand still. Then you will start losing again. I have lost every day since. I try to eat 1000-1100 calories a day.
  6. Yes I gained 2 lbs but they told me that was expected and it would take a couple weeks for my body to adjust and they were right.
  7. It took 2weeks after I started to eat mushies for me to start losing again.
  8. I love mfp. It also links with my pedometer.
  9. Finally started to lose again after a 2week stand still.
  10. I vomited a few hours after surgery because of the pain meds. I was concerned but my doctor said if was fine.
  11. I'm glad to hear that. I lost 22lbs then when I started to eat full liquids and soft food I gained 1.5 lbs and have stayed there. I am 2 weeks post op tomorrow.
  12. Back from post op appointment. Everything looks good. Down 22 lbs in 2 weeks. Can start soft foods now.
  13. I was banded yesterday and when I walk it feels like something is pulling where my port is. Just wondering if that is normal?
  14. So I'm banded. Up and walked this evening. Only trouble liquid loratab doesn't like me . Puked twice getting iv morphine for now. Pain isn't to bad.
  15. My doctor is making me stay overnight for observation.
  16. Well tomorrow is my surgery. I need to be there at 7am. I have lost 10lbs on the pre-op liquid diet this week. I an getting a little nervous but excited to start my new journey.
  17. I am on day 4 of pre-op. I only had to do a week of liquids. The chocolate Adkins advantage is very good. For me once I got past day three it got better.

  20. Today is my first day of pre-op. Surgery is the 22nd. I did fine today other than I'm starting to get hungry now and the shake isn't holding me very long. Any suggestions???
  21. I am new here. My surgery is scheduled for October 22. I am nervous but excited at the same time. Not looking forward to the week of liquids.
