Jess,

Pain is all but gone now...aches yes...pain no. It is coming from the Lipo. the thing that really bugs me now is the lipo. I will get up put some shorts or pants on and by mid afternoon I have to take them off because they dont fit me(too small). The swelling I expected but never really comprehended the extent of it. I literally look preggers after midday.

Hugs

Kel your pics look great but you might want to cover areas because nuts could put them out on the internet.....that's right they all ready are.

No really thank you for sharing the truth of the surgery. You have done an amazing job. I'm sure once I lose a million more pounds I will be proud to show my round mounds without the rolls. LOL

Wow! You look terrific! I hear it takes about 6 weeks for full recovery - I can only imagine how awesome you will look since you look so good already!! Way to go, sister!!!!!

How are the scars? I am definitely going to need inner thigh and belly work (boobs? - they're at my waist, but insurance won't cover boobs!!), but I am afraid of more scars... my lap incisions have keloided, and they are SOO ugly!!

Take care and be healthy!

I know that might offend some that is why I tried to think of the nicest way to put it. Please excuse me if it has offended some.

Kellie, these are the real life questions most of us have and are NOT answered on PS sites. I think you have handled it beautifully. You are way cool.

I like that the pics show up as links...I usually don't but in this case, it's good they don't just pop up, right?! You have given fair warning. You have taken good care to be sensitive, yet real. Thumbs up!

Oh Kellie!!! You look so damn good girl!!!!

I am SO proud of you for doing this. My nips also point at the floor and honest to God, with no bra on they are down to me waist already!!! At 24 years old!!!! ICK! Your honest comments about the boob surgery has made me realize that I am FOR SURE going to have it done, and I am still thinking about a TT, but I will have to wait until I am done having kids for that stuff!

(by the way, I changed my name... It's me, Heather!)

Cheri

My scars keloid also. I am concerned about a body lift keloid scar. Right now my skin is beginning to really sag and it is going to be an ugly thing. It is going to need lifting badly.

Hiya everyone,

I was thinking about the pinny pics and I really tossed and turned about whether to post it or not. I am a shy, self conscious person and I have NEVER I repeat never let anyone besides my partner and Dr see me like that. Like I have said, I wanted you guys to get a real picture of the before and after, and the fact is, you do get a pinny lift and you do get insane swelling in the mound. I think blacking it out would take away the effect KWIM?

If anyone is desperate enough to want to do anything but use my pics for anything but educational purposes then they must be sick!!!

Heather - I had my first baby at 17 and have had a body like my B4 pic since then. It was terrible being a teenager looking and feeling like that, so I can totally relate. Wait till you are done with the kiddos and go for it, you will never look back.

Kathy - Thanks for all the compliments you give me, you sure know how to make a girl feel good. I agree on the links thing, I didnt want someone coming to read an update and being confronted with me in all my glory, what a sickening thought. I am treading very carefully with this post as I really dont want to offend anyone. HUGS

The next thing I really wanted to mention was the keloiding. I am going to dig around for some pics of my lap banding scars. They were reallyyyyyy bad. I keloided so bad and one of the main things worryiing me with the TT was keloiding again. I chose a PS that specialised in minimal scarring and was prepared. He spent alot of time suturing my scars so they would be ultra fine, and they are. I really am happy with them, so dont let that be the reason to stop you doing this.

I am going to go take a pic right now of my scar so you guys can see.

Be back soon

PS Thanks EVERYONE for the compliments - it means alot :faint:

Day 13 close up of scar front and side. Take note of the scars left from my banding and how keloided they were/are. My PS has said after looking at my new scars they are going to heal very nicely. I still have alot of stretch marks which arent quite that noticeable. They did go right up to under my breasts before, so it is a great improvement for me.

Oh my word, Kellie!! I cannot get over how great you look! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing the reality of it all! Especially the, um, pinny lift. It's a huge area of concern for me. I'm afraid as I lose it's going to sag even more... like I need more sag there!

Those scars are amazing! I think they already look better then your port scar! Can't wait to see them at 3 months! :)

(( Hugs!! )) Thanks again for sharing it all with us!

what more can I say than WOW! I can't wait to get back to my goal weight...

Kellie you are much braver than I think I ever could be...ouch! not sure I could go through with that much surgery...BUT the results are making me want to go talk to a PS for after I reach my goal weight!

btw...post your before picture you have on your website with the after picture of you in the pink tank top WHOA! what a difference - I looked at them side by and just sat in awe, you look so great:clap2:

Keep up the good work.

I seen a question I forgot to answer regarding my port. My port was not moved in the operation. He worked around it. I could have had it replaced with a low profile one, but didnt want the extra cost for someting that really doesnt bother me anyway. It doesnt protrude and it isnt noticeable.

The only thing was he couldnt pull me as tight as he would have liked because of the port and because of the stretch marks. Stretch marks being pulled tightly around the insicion can raise your risks for necrosis(skin dying) which I didnt want.

He did upper ab Lipo in the middle, but not the sides, because my port is on the side and it would not have been even.

I think thats all the questions I had forgot to answer :)

Close up of my belly button. They took my old belly button and made a new one. My old one was a big ol hole that resembled the grand canyon. Having an outtie is so exciting.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
