I just can't decide whether or not to get another small fill, like a .1 or .2. I have occasional restriction to where I can truly only eat 1/2 to 1 cup of food. It's so inconsistant. A week and a half ago I was so happy because for a full week I had restriction and I really had to be careful eating and chewing. This week I have virtually no restrictiona and I'm hungry too. My last fill was done the middle of January. Sometimes it works pretty well and most times it's not too tight.

Have any of you been here and gone ahead with another fill?

If so, how did it go?

Should I be having restriction every day?

I have a 4cc band and I have 2.2cc.

i always ask myself the same questions. I had my last fill in august. I get restriction some days but can eat alot of food. some days i can eat a particular and some days i can't. I might go for like a week with little restriction and then go like three days where everything hurts. I am going to the doctor in like three weeks and am going to ask for like .25 if he will do it - i already have 3 ccs.

Be careful about getting a fill because the band is a fickle little tool. Give it time to adjust up and down. One day you'll be tight, the next day loose. Some weeks you'll be tight then others loose. If you're having a loose week and get a fill, you might end up way too tight and end up getting a complete unfill, which will allow you to eat way too much.

Be patient and get to know the fluctuations before considering another fill. Lots of things affect restriction from traveling, bariatric pressure/weather, salt intake, period bloating, etc.

Wow! I'd never considered barametric pressure as a factor, but I guess it could be...thanks for the insight! I do know I experience the same fluctuations in restriction, just figured it was a "band thing."

See my signature and info. below! Yes, I have been in your exact position. My second fill I was thinking that I might as well get a small fill (.2cc), to save me another trip to my surgeon. It didn't work out that way. I was too tight, for the most part, and quite miserable.

My band is finicky. I am learning to live with this tool. I would wait. Maybe a small one, if most days you are hungry and eating more than

1 1/2 cups of food.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
