Recommended Posts

Ok-how can u tell if ur too tight or stuck? Wednesday they gave me 2 more ccs. I drank Water fine that day. Yesterday I was good. Drank and eat fine. Today tight or maybe stuck. I drank rlprotein shake and kept burping but that's it. I eat one egg white and it feel so tight like its in the throAt. Not in my chest like stuck feels like so I'm unsure...

Not me, but since you asked, I think probably swollen for the fill. My surgeon's office suggests 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after a fill. Its a little stick, but at least try liquids today to see if that helps. If not, maybe go back Monday for a slight unfill. Karen

I agree with Karen & Mis. Also some people have problems with eggs.< /p>

I have trouble with eggs in a huge way. Try poaching them instead.

I don't do well with eggs period. I switched over to Egg Beaters and seem to do well now. Definitely much healthier for you, with less cholesterol. A minute in the microwave, sprinkle an ounce of fat free cheese across the top, add a little pepper, and I am good to go! I have to agree with everyone else, I believe you were still swollen from your fill. Most doctors recommend the Clear Liquids the first day and full liquids on the second.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
