my nutritionist told me 800, once I started working out I could increase to 1000-1200. It has a lot to do with your starting weight though. You have to be careful not put your body is starvation mode.

Have you met with a nutritionist? If not, I strongly suggest you do so. They will help you set up guidelines for food to fit your body needs and lifestyle.

Unfortunately none of us can tell you how many calories to consume because every surgeon is different and has a different protocol to follow. Most people consume between 800-1200 a day.

One more note: Please don't expect to have good restriction after your first fill. It is possible however it's very rare. Normally it takes people multiple fills before they have good restriction, and until they do, you have to just do your best to stick to band sized portions and make good food choices.
