Two weeks since my 2nd fill and I am eating more than before!

Recommended Posts

What gives here?!?! For the first week after my fill I was incredibly tight and felt like I did right after surgery....but now I feel like I could eat all the time. For dinner last night I ate about 4 oz of tuna filet and was satisfied...but an hour or two later I ate some Cheetos. I wasn't hungry but I felt like eating. In fact...all I did was eat yesterday! A few days after my fill I got my period...do you think this has something to do with me feeling so loose now? Since my fill I have been consuming around 600-1000 calories a day. I lost 7 pounds the first week and like a half a pound this week! This is so frustrating! Anyone else go through this to? I really need some encouragement here. :)

One thing that I have noticed, during PMS and not taking any supplimental diet pills - I am eating like crazy. I am on Seasonale so I only have 4 periods a year and this is my 3rd since surgery....but this is the first time that I have really dealt with the PMS - which I normally do not have....and it has NOT been fun! I cannot seem to control the snacking without the Adipex during this time. I'm still probably around 1200 calories per day - but I feel like I'm reaching for foods that I normally do not bother with during normal times. Perhaps next week will be better for your loss. Are you working out too?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
