How Much Do U Pay For An Adjustment?

Recommended Posts

Im almost 3 yrs post op and began having problems with my band about 4 mths ago. Seems like I see the dr often now. And each time its a 6 hr round trip and $160. My insurance only covered the first yr of fills. This is costing a fortune. And theres no end in sight.

Just criuos as to if my dr is charging a reasonable amount or not.

My doctor charged the insurance like $250 for the office visit and an additional 200+ for the fill. I have restriction so I have'nt been back since I lost my insurance that covers the fill.

I'm not self pay, but I asked on one of my visits how much my fills would be if I ever found myself without insurance, they told me fills would only be 40 bucks. I'm somewhat skeptical since it seems to be a LOT lower than anyone else charges, but that's what she told me.

I'm self pay and done with my free year. True Results Houston has several options...prepay 6 months for $240, monthly draft your bank $40 for a minimum of 6 months with no refund, or pay as needed $125. My insurance doesn't cover any of it.

No insurance coverage. $150.00 each visit or $500/year.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
